Modern Heritage: Space, Light and Timeless Charm Characterize this Heritage Renovation
Contemporary design compliments traditional period features in this heritage home renovation. The homeowners wanted to update the style and quality of their 3-bedroom home while showcasing period millwork and significantly increasing their living space. A 1,000 square-foot rear extension made room for an open concept kitchen and living space; a private ground floor office for working-at-home; and a new ensuite bathroom on the top floor. To make the most of the space, the central stairwell was reconfigured and a circular skylight was installed to increase natural light in the home.
