Basement Renovations

Flintstones helped us with a water leak in our basement. We phoned their company, and we were very lucky to get Max on the phone. He listened to our concern’s and he could tell we were very worried. We couldn’t believe how quickly he got the ball rolling, arriving at our home with one of his team members to access the damage. They expedited a remedy to our problem! Everyone in the organization were so very professional. We were amazed at the skill of their trades people & young men who worked very hard each day with smiling faces. We worked with Flintstones for over 6 months on a major house renovation and they were superb. Flintstones replaced our old drainage tiles, repaired foundation cracks and waterproofed our basement walls using top of the line materials and workmanship. We were faced with some unexpected issues just after moving into our new home. Lucky for us we made the smart decision to contact Flintstones. Their timely communication, sensitivity to our situation and well thought out plan made the decision to engage them an easy one. The team provided immediate comfort that only the work necessary would be done, that it would be completed to the highest standard and priced fair for the incredible value. We were constantly kept abreast of the project plan, brought into the decision-making process and were extremely pleased with the final product.

I am at a loss of words as to describe how truly amazing every member of the Flintstones team has been with our chimney repair. From our first emergency call with a leak into our basement and living room to cleaning our entire front yard as part of completing the job every step has been ideal. True craftsmen and conscientious members of our community feels like a huge understatement. Mike and every member of his crew are always upbeat, hard working and friendly. A strong focus on both job site safety and quality of work for the “boots on the ground” masons was both refreshing and admirable in a day and age where unfortunately these important considerations are glazed over in favour of profits by too many contractors.

Our experience with Flintstones has been excellent. We have had them around our house to do quite a bit of repair work. We started with a refacing of our fire place in the living room, the job was done beautifully with a minimum of mess and disruption of our house. Then we moved on to a repair of the brick facing on the front of the house this led to the discovery that the perimeter drains were collapsed. We started the repairs and were told right up front of the price for the first half of the house and that they would check the other half when they could get to it as some digging was required. With each step things were setout very clearly and honestly and the price that was quoted was the price that stayed no up selling or hidden costs. Finally we had 2 new chimneys built and a new brick planter added to the front of the house, again done with expertise and care. All of the on site crews for all of the jobs were polite and skilled. They cleaned up behind themselves and left the site cleaner then they found it. I would recommend this company to anyone who asks and will certainly have them back to do more work should the need arise.

Several cracks in the foundation of our 102-year old Fairfield home, too much surface runoff, and the general trend towards wetter winters led us to Flintstones’ website. But it was the immediate response to our request for an inspection and the thoroughness of our initial consultation that made us decide to work with this company. The Flintstones crew, after some digging, discovered that we had no perimeter drains, as is common in our neighbourhood, so it was a big job that we soon agreed upon. Thankfully, all digging was done by hand, resulting in minimal disruption to our garden, which was very important to us. We were impressed by the number of skilled, hard-working men Flintstones brought to the task and by the co-ordination of the job by the project manager. Good communication, a high-level of professionalism, and completion of a project to a standard above-and-beyond what is to code, kept the City inspectors happy and ourselves delighted. We highly recommend this company.
